This use to be a really good hotel, no longer. The only reason I gave it this rating is they had a comedian that we love (Bobby Collins). We try to stay at hotels that host the act we go to see. We will change that in the future.
General: The casino is smoking, the rooms non-smoking. The atrium is still beautiful, but belies the rest of the hotel/casino.
Plus: The room was clean and nice. Good sized bathroom, comfortable bed. The waitress at Smokin' Joe's was excellent (Ashley). Obviously, seeing Bobby Collins was the highlight
Negatives: Pillows were awful (small, flat). The toilet paper was "no ply". We waited nearly 1/2 hour to get a table at Smokin' Joes. Not that they were busy, 3/4 of the tables were empty they were way understaffed.
A once really good buffet is now gone and isn't expected to reopen anytime. There is a food court and a couple specialty restaurants. Disappointing.
The real bad: There were a few homeless people wandering throughout the casino/food court area. It matches what the area has become (a few homeless camps in the area). I'm not insensitive, but it isn't what I expect in a hotel/casino.
I would see another act there, but I will not be staying there again. Sad that a once really good hotel/casino has fallen - more based on where it is, not what it is.
