The room was large and interior design modern but cosy. The bathroom was huge. The room had no windows and instead of them, two giant vertical light sources, as if windows with sunlight.
The problem with the hotel became soon obvious. The shape of the hotel is extremely long and narrow, and above it is the airport hallway through which thousands of passengers walk, rush, drag their suitcases. With no or little acoustic insulation, the stomping and other echoiung sounds make it next to impossible in the room. I soon realized that behind the windowless wall was an outdoor elevator, and the neoises of the elevator were equally disturbing.
I complained about the sounds to the reception, and the reception answered that "this is what alla the guests complain about, but the management doesn't want to do anything". I was given another room in a short T-wing off the main hallway, and this ended up being ok. But it's only a few rooms without this major problem.
I would never stay again in the hotel unless the problem is fixed, or unless I'm guaranteed a room in the extra T-wing.
