Disappointing Stay at TRS Yucatán – Not Worth the Hype
I had high expectations for TRS Yucatán, but unfortunately, my experience was far from five-star. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this resort has seen better days.
Rooms: Musty, humid, and nearly impossible to cool down. The air conditioning struggled, leaving the room feeling damp and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, there was a lingering odor that no amount of ventilation could fix.
Service & Operations: Inexcusable mismanagement. On two separate nights, at 10:30 PM, I was rudely awakened by loud knocks on the door—an unacceptable disruption in what is supposed to be a luxury, adults-only resort. Additionally, I had dinner reservations made for me at restaurants that were closed. How does that even happen?
Resort Condition: “Tired” is putting it kindly. Everything looks like it needs a refresh. The property itself feels worn, and while the grounds are well-kept, it doesn’t make up for the outdated feel.
Infinity Pool: Easily the highlight of the trip. The view is stunning, the ambiance relaxing… but if you need a bathroom break? Your options are to trek all the way to Helios or, well, let’s just say not everyone is making that trip.
Transportation: If you’re waiting for a cart to pick you up, don’t bother. Just walk. It’ll save you the frustration.
