A European couple with no children: stayed for 7 nights.
This is a basic, nice hotel with very friendly staff, good service and excellent breakfast. Although close to the airport, the noise won't bother except at the outside pool area.
The rooms and the entire hotel, although very clean everywhere, are a bit outdated and in need of urgent updating. There is a worn carpet everywhere and therefore no allergy rooms. In its' glory days the hotel might have been a 5* hotel, but nowadays perhaps 3,5* (in European standard).
The concept of service needs also a bit of an update in order for the hotel to be a 5* place.
For excample; Although the breakfast is excellent food-wise, the service doesn't quite work. - One needs to wait for a cleanup every morning in order to get a table. Also, if cutlery is missing or lacking from the table, nobody brings it automatically, one needs to ask for it every time.
If coffee or tea are to be served to the table, nobody comes to ask what you would like to drink, you will have to ask for it specifically every time.
So, although the staff is very friendly, they should be updated on how to serve and take care of the customer.
When one sees past these minor flaws one can have a pleasant stay at this hotel. If you truly want a 5* hotel, this might not be your best pick.
