First of all the al seef heritage site is a rather strange place. It feels like one of those wild west tourist attractions with actors walking around. It looks authentic but doenst really feel so. Has security guards everywhere who look bored out of their minds, no idea why they are even there, has some cafes and restaurants with not many customers at any time of day and shops where the sellers dont really try and sell you anything (very different to the souks). Only recommendation really is the restaurant directly left from the hotel check in area, awesome emirati breakfast for 52 dirams, yes its tourist food at tourist prices but it was our best dining experiance there. The hotel check in needs more staff as a fair bit of waiting is required, they didn't acknowledge my hotels.com gold level so never got the room upgrade or late check out offer. Would come to see the area, dont think I recommend actually staying here!
