The hotel's location is excellent! So many little boutiques, lovely stores, grocery stores, tea shops, and very good affordable restaurants in a variety of price ranges. The reception area was lovely and almost every single member of the staff was very very friendly -- which was delightful. Only one person of the breakfast staff was very sour. Complimentary tea & coffee made us very happy. The metro station was very close, and the Sorbonne-area a short walking distance away. We had a lovely tiny bathtub and the towels were nice.
Now for the not-so-good-sides: the room was tiny and a bit worn around the edges. The double-bed was very small and seriously slanted towards the middle -- it was impossible to sleep anywhere else than the exact middle point of the bed. So, the other person had to sleep on the floor (we were given extra blankets to make sleeping on the floor more comfortable). The TV was hanging on the top of the wall, making it uncomfortable to watch it in the tiny room. The breakfast was ok although there were no gluten-free options available -- and none were provided even when I asked for them. So for a gluten-intolerant all that there was to eat was cheese, meat, yoghurt and fruit salad. (which was plenty and good-tasting).
