Rue de Buci is my favourite street in Paris, and I grew up there so I know the city very well. At Hotel de Buci you are logged on a glittering street between organic supermarkets, wine bars, art book stores, and bustling restaurants, all within walking distance of the river, the Louvre, the MusĂ©e dâOrsay, and so much more.
On arrival at the hotel we were warmly received by Marie for whom nothing was too much trouble. Help with our stroller? Done. Book a last minute cab on departure because we got overwhelmed by heading to the airport on the train? Done. The night staff were so kind, the gentleman whose name I sadly did not get warmed our childâs milk to a few degrees above what was necessary because he knew we were bathing her and in his words, âI have kids, I know youâll need longer than expected to get to the milk, so I warmed it more so itâs the perfect temperature by the time youâre ready for it.â This is true luxury. Attentiveness, empathy, and predicting my needs before I even know I have them.
We got a junior suite with view on Rue de Buci and it was charming, I cannot recommend it enough. The gifted Scandi design soft toy in the crib was the icing on the cake! We canât wait to come back.
