Might have been the worst hotel experience ever. Only good thing about this hotel was the location.
If I understood correctly, they had overbooked the hotel, and therefore we "got uprated" with our room. Actually, it meant that we got a bigger and "better" room with the lower price. But it came with a cost. The air-condition wasn't working when we arrived, there was 35 degrees celcius in the room. Receptions solution was a small fan that they gave us and "just open the window". Poor service, and even though they tried to look like they were surprised, I think that the problem was well known within the staff. Then came the rainy night. Quite common in London. Well, the ceiling was leaking. I woke up in the middle of the night with the water dripping on my leg. Overall, the hotel room wasn't cleaned as it should have been. Whole experience was dowdy to say the least. And when I told the staff about the leaking ceiling, they just changed the subject - so I guess that wasn't a news for them either. I think 560£ for four nights is a rather rough price for room that is over 30 degrees and the ceiling is leaking. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone - not even for my worst enemy.
