The once grand hotel is now looking very sad and, in general, is in a poor state of repair. Carpets in some main areas need replacing, some are patched with tape whilst curtains appear very old and in need of cleaning or replacement.
Check in was very slow. The computerised system appeared to be the main cause, but there was a distinct lack of staff.
Bar service was terrible and the staff dress code was not to the standard expected.
The breakfast service was poor both in terms of food quality and service.
