Highlights of Hope Street
Hope Street is located south of the ‘Knowledge Quarter', where the University of Liverpool, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and several other notable institutions are based. This proximity to institutes of higher learning and creativity provided Hope Street and surrounding areas with a ‘bohemian and artistic’ reputation in the mid-20th century. Today, Hope Street is an integral part of lively Liverpool.
Stop at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral, which is free to enter, unless you’d like to explore the Tower or take audio tours, which the cathedral recommends. The Metropolitan Cathedral, also on the street, is known for its stunning coloured glass in its Lantern Tower.
