Cozy, basic motel
I liked the motel a lot but we also had some misfortunes with it. POSITIVE: Spacious, beautiful rooms, the king-size bed was very good to sleep in, cabel-tv and WiFi. Bathroom was not fancy but it was still very clean. Most of the staff were superfriendly. Breakfast was mostly waffles and coffee, but it wasn't bad. NEGATIVE: After the first night we noticed a funny smell in the room and after some inspection we noticed that there was a plate of old boiled rise inside of one of the drawers we had not used. After we reported this to the staff, they were very nice and arranged us another room with two queen size beds. The next day we had placed "do not disturb" sign on our door so that the cleaner would not need to clean it, and still someone had been there in the room and "cleaning" it half way: they had unmade the bed I earlier made myself and they had thrown all our towels on the bathroom floor but not collected them away or replaced them with new ones. When we reported this to the staff, they were mostly worried whether anything had been stolen. They also said that they have a policy that every room will be cleaned every other day - which was not told to us earlier and which should have not applied to us at that point anyway. The impression was that it was rather our fault than theirs that this had happened - which of course is not a sign of good customer service. Also, the heating system was so noisy that we couldn't have it on during the night despite the cold weather.
