We had a really great stay here with our 2.5year old and 8month old. Very family friendly but not overwhelmed with only families staying there. The kids pools were really great. Staff were very friendly and lovely with the kids.
Although parts of the hotel looked a little tired there were lots of staff around doing maintenance and keeping things tidy. All the spaces were kept very clean.
Sometimes communication between staff wasn't great, for example we had a letter left in our room about a free balinese dance performance happening in the hotel but when we asked in the lounge and at the palace reception they new nothing about it and kept trying to direct us to the paid nightly performances in the hotel theatre. The only other thing we found frustrating was that we forgot our reusable swim nappy. unsurprisingly the hotel asks that babies and children who are not fully toilet trained wear a swim nappy. However, the hotel did not provide any or have any for sale. They directed us to a pharmacy at the local market, which did not have any for sale either. Very minor complaints on the whole. We would definitely recommend this hotel, especially to other young families.
