Nice place but could be better for the price
The service is very friendly and the bed is comfortable - nice decor and quiet rooms.
However a few issues. First, we had very little hot water for the second day - morning and evening - and while this was rectified when we went to reception I'd expect the hotel to have an alert when the boiler needs resetting, not to wait until one of the guests complains. Second, the tea/coffee station wasn't refilled so there was no coffee or milk - we had to ask for some, and it was left in the room in a sanitary disposal bag. Choosing to keep the kettle and tea/coffee station in the wardrobe is odd and may mean housekeeping forget it. Finally despite the room being prepaid the hotel placed an additional hold on our debit card of nearly £500 'for incidentals' which frankly seems excessive. This has not yet been returned.
Overall this could be really nice but some quite basic things went wrong which you can easily rectify, I think.
