Unfortunately, we will not be booking at this hotel again. The fact that itâs a part of the Kirkwood group is deceiving. Everything about this property is an after thought. The rooms are dark and sad, they look like cheap flips. Thereâs no reception at the hotel, only across the street at their well-kept, high-end sister property. The real kicker was when we discovered our toilet had been leaking when we came home from dinner. The desk person, who was nice, came over to try and fix it. She thought she had fixed it but a 1/2 hour later, it was leaking again. At that point it was past 10pm and I was too tired to deal with it. So we stayed the first night in our room with an unusable toilet. The next morning I had to re-explain what had happed to the new morning desk agent. They asked when they could send the maintenance person over but we didnât want to have to wait for them to fix it and not have use of our room, so I asked if we could just change rooms. They said that was okay but I was surprised that wasnât something they offered first. We moved rooms, which seemed comparable? It was hard to tell because they both were ugly. They never offered any consolation for the inconvenience. I donât expect to get a free night (although an inoperable toilet is a pretty big problem) but at the very least a dining credit? Or just the acknowledgment that this is a major blunder. If they want repeat business they should at least pretend like the want to remedy the situation.
