This is a budget hotel, and it charges budget prices.
The location is great, good parking. The hotel has recently undergone a refurb, so told, but it was a real bodge job. Room is clean and new, new bed, bedding, carpet but the bathroom was terrible. Wonky floor, weird black plastic flooring, no towel rail, reminded me of a budget hospital bathroom. Paint job bodged, the return didn’t include fixings and fittings so you’ve got a new bed but then a naff, tired door handle. It’s just attention to detail- but it was pleasant enough and clean!
At £70 for a night in central Exeter, would I stay again? I probably would to be honest.
