My stay was peaceful; the hotel is simple, and the room was very small, but it was the best value for money I found in Florence at the time.
Pros: The room I stayed in had a balcony, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was clean and served its purpose for the trip, but I wouldn’t recommend it for someone looking for something more luxurious. The reception service was great—quick and very friendly, with the attendant speaking Portuguese, which made us smile during check-in and check-out.
Cons: The room was quite small, to the point where the bed was pressed against the wall. The bathroom was as tiny as one on a cruise ship. The hotel shares space with a hostel, so expect a high volume of people in the reception area, but it didn’t delay our check-in or check-out. The hotel charges for luggage storage; it wasn’t expensive, but I dislike it when hotels charge for that service.
