Stayed 6 nights there in September. We really liked the place, and the owners were extremely nice and helpful. The house had four stories, and we (me and my girlfriend) got a wonderful four persons apartment from the highest floor. The view from the balcony was just amazing! From there we could see everything: the mountains to the right, the village of Bol and even a glimpse of the great beach of Zlatni Rat straight ahead. And of course the sea, and the neighbouring island of Hvar to the left.
September is practically the last touristic month on the island, but we really enjoyed our time there, because the sea water was quite warm and the temperature was 30+. Only on the last day we got lots of rain and wind (otherwise didn't even spot any clouds on the sky). The wind was then so strong that the catamaran service between Bol and Split (once a day) was cancelled, and we had to wait for some hours and then go by bus to Supetar and then to Split by ferry.
September was also a good time to visit because the whole village was quite peaceful, and it was easy to find a good spot on Zlatni Rat, for example. Bol is a beautiful village, with nice restaurants right on the seaside. We found everything we needed, such as supermarkets, bakeries, and a post office.
If you are physically in good/normal shape, I really recommend Villa Ana. If you aren't, Villa Ana is reached by walking up the road about 1km, and the rise is quite steep at times. Of course you can also use a car etc, but it's a small village with very narrow roads, so cannot really recommend that.
From Villa Ana, you can find two beautiful pebble beaches very near, maybe 500m. Just go straight down the road, and you'll find a beach on both sides of the monastery/old church.
By the way you can find more detailed information of Villa Ana from their own website, just google "villa ana bol".
Especially for the price paid, I really recommend the place!
