Gary was very friendly and helpful. He called on the day I was checking in to check on my arrival and also recommended places to eat. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is spacious but has a lot of cobwebs and some of the residents. The bedside is really convenient but I found someone else’s finger nails on it 😓 Breakfast the next morning was hearty and set me off to a good start.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The services are as described, the breakfast options are extensive and my room is spacious and clean. I appreciated the fact it is located within walking distance to the centre, but away from any noise to ensure a quiet night's sleep. If I'm in Dorchester again, I would certainly stay again. Highly recommended.

I booked late and last minute through an app, but it was no problem. After over 5 hours of driving I was ready to relax and sleep and Bay Tree was perfect for this. I booked the single room with ensuite so had to climb to the top floor but did this with ease, even with three bags. The room was clean and wonderfully comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and set me up well for my drive home. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Hopefully in nicer weather so I could take advantage of the gorgeous looking outdoor area they have.

Very friendly host who kept me in the loop what was happening- made contact before booking as I was going to be late. Breakfast great choice- pity the weather(snow) played havoc with my plans!!

A very convenient location for Dorchester centre which was a 15 minute walk. The landlord was very friendly and helpful and made my 4 night stay very comfortable. There was a great choice at breakfast where the landlord was able to sort me out with porridge.

Der Wirt war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Doppelzimmer war sehr eng, aber glĂŒcklicherweise waren 2 separate Betten, ein Waschbecken, Föhn und Wasserkocher (incl. Tee, Kaffee, Milch) vorhanden, das moderne Bad war auf dem Flur. Leider klemmte die ZimmertĂŒr so stark, dass wir sie ĂŒber Nacht einen spaltbreit offen gelassen haben, um beim Gang zum Bad nicht zu viel LĂ€rm zu machen. Beim FrĂŒhstĂŒck im modern eingerichteten, hellen FrĂŒhstĂŒcksraum saßen alle GĂ€ste gemeinsam an einem großen runden Tisch, in dessen Mitte auf einer großen Drehscheibe eine reiche Auswahl an Cerealien, frischem Obst, SĂ€fte, Brotaufstrich und vieles mehr angeboten wurde; dazu frisch getoastetes Brot und Eier nach Wahl. Sehr originell und kommunikativ!

I've no idea if this is a good hotel or not, I booked it for two sub contractors that were working in the area. I have now been trying to get a VAT receipt for almost a week, there only appears to be one member of staff... I have emailed and left voicemails & I still haven't got one. They did send me an online receipt of some sort, but it had no VAT breakdown or VAT reg no. This is really frustrating, as I have to have a VAT receipt in order to claim my money back from work and I have better things to do, than to keep chasing it.
