Wonderful Stay
This is a really nice chateau. The road leading up to the parking is a bit bumpy, but manageable. The hotel is really clean and beautiful. The staff were very nice as well. We enjoyed our room. It was spacious and comfortable. We loved there was a fan in our room and the soaker tub was really nice. We stayed two nights and we thought it was a really great place to stay. It was in a quiet area which we very much appreciated. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night. We both ordered the sea bass with mashed potatoes. The food was good, but it wasn’t memorable. The escargot was very good though, we enjoyed that the most. Overall we highly recommend this hotel. It’s in a great location to explore the area.

Honestly, the grounds look beautiful. The first room had dozens of flies. They changed us to another one that still had flies. The staff was not friendly at all. Breakfast was limited and there was one person who would not even refill the bottle of water. Not recommended at all!

Inez on reception was very helpful . If we had known that the restaurant was closed for dinner on both nights we would have booked somewhere else. Suggest breakfast window is narrowed so that it can be managed better as on second morning both orange juice machines were not working and the pastries tray was virtually empty. Would have preferred a bathroom with a walk in shower.

Beautiful setting and easy to walk into Bayeux Staff were friendly and welcoming but I was disappointed that none of them could give me information on visiting D-Day memorials, especially as these are some of the major attractions of the area. I ended up giving one of them a link to a good website. We had dinner 1 night and were very disappointed. The food was bland and not worth the cost. Many of the items on the wine menu were not available. We were glad that we did not have breakfast at the hotel based on our dinner.
