Booked this cottage for my daughter and I to have a tranquil secluded stay. The cabin was not what was expected. The cabin is pictured as private, however the blinds for the cabin are not fit for purpose as you can see through the gaps in-between the slats. The owners child's bedroom is opposite the cabin with no curtain or blind therefore can see straight into the child's room, and vice versa. The side of the garden the fence is down therefore the neighbouring property is overlooking the outside seating area. The garden is overgrown, the water feature does not work and also has weeds growing in it. The Budda has a hole in his face. The bathroom door is rubbing against the floor therefore really hard to open and close. There is wiring hanging out of the wall. The toilet seat was broken. The towels supplied were really small and very rough texture. The bed linen was clean however very dated and not good quality. The coffee was stale and hard. Appreciate that this was not stated to be included. The walkway upto the property was very precarious, steep and in need of repair. The bedroom door is blocked by the piano therefore you cannot close the door. We felt like we were in a goldfish bowl, not the seclusion described, therefore did not feel comfortable being at the cabin for much of our stay.
The locality is great, therefore made the most of enjoying the area. Very sad to be making this post, the above issues were not easy fixes therefore did not complain when we were there.
