High hopes, low delivery.
The least “luxury experience” resort I’ve ever stayed at. The front desk was incredibly rude when we arrived due to being busy, eventually we got acknowledged and they were able to check us in early which was nice. The city shut off the water so our toilet didn’t run the next morning, no big deal, maintenance fixed it. However, an hour later my husband used the bathroom and couldn’t flush the toilet. All of the water to our room was shut off for over 4 hours. He told the front desk and the woman was , again, incredibly rude, getting angry at him for letting her know b/c she kept saying it was the city. It wasn’t. Turned out it was the maintenance that was going on in the room next door and no one notified us. So there was a full toilet (kinda funny) that sat there for over 4 hours. The hallways smelled like marijuana and cigarettes. This is probably the only hotel I’ve ever stayed in that doesn’t offer complimentary water in the lobby, you have to pay for water bottles (eco friendly is not a concern apparently). Everything is an upcharge, from the water, to coffee (no coffee maker in room or microwave) to chairs and umbrellas on the beach. The walls are super thin , we could hear our neighbors partying all night; which is fine, but we had our 1 y.o son with us as this was advertised as a family friendly resort. The hotel room wall was like peeling off, the siding on the corners was peeling. Overall it was a disappointing stay and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
