This hotel seems like it’s trying hard on a tight budget.
Guessing the man working the front desk is the owner, housekeeper, & employee. Never had I ever had the hotel call me to see if I was going to check in because they were booked (it was before 6 PM) yet I only ever saw 2 couples the time I was there & it was super quiet on a Saturday night during the state fair.
Pros- water pressure good, AC was blasting which was nice after a long day of travel & state fair, bed was firm that I like. Outside area looks like they’re trying to upgrade landscaping. Lobby looked clean but not very inviting to chill out in.
Cons- None of the USB charging ports worked but outlets did. One was full on busted, when I told the front desk he didn’t care. There was no liner in the ice bucket & when I asked for one he literally pulled it out from in front of him. There are tea bags laid out that aren’t packaged & a single pen laid out with no cap & no paper. The lotion, shampoo/conditioner were all different brands & turned upside down so guessing they’re reused. Seat in room had crumbs on it along with walls not finished. It smelled like an old bowling alley with the musty smoke aftermath.
Breakfast only went until 9 so I didn’t partake, but if you need a place close to a park & ride for the state fair for a sleep it was worth it for the price. Area seemed safe. McDonald’s & a church are the neighbors.
