A great and clean hotel
The hotel was great and clean. It was near a Park and Ride. Taking a bus from there to the city centre was easy and the journey took only about 10 minutes. However, a downside was that the buses did not run on Christmas Day. Near the hotel, there is not really anything worthwhile to see.
The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The double bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and nice. The room also had an empty mini-bar which you could you use as your mini-fridge. If you are not a member of the IHG or do not join it, you need to pay for the WIFI.
Breakfast was fantastic and tasty being a buffet that served a wide variety of different kinds of foods. All the traditional components of traditional British breakfast were available. The servers were friendly. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on Christmas Day so we had to have a dinner in the Lounge. We think it would be good that the restaurant would be open on Christmas Day too and that it would serve Christmas menu then. We think they could serve Christmas menu also on Christmas Eve.
The staff were nice, friendly and helpful. One exception was a male receptionist who just kept looking at his computer when I was asking something from him. This did not give a respected feeling to me as a customer. Other receptionists we found nice though. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great hotel only a short bus ride away.
