Not a five star experience
Not a five star experience for Valentine's we we're looking for.
Cons:
- The room was not tidy. The rug had not been cleaned and the bathtub was not clean.
- The shampoos and lotions in the bathroom were used and almost empty.
- The view from the terrace was not good and in fact they had installed smoke-glasses to block the view.
- The area did not have that many good cafeterias near the hotel.
- "Free bottled water" meant one free 0,5L bottle. So we had to buy the drinking water ourselves.
- There was a city tax of 2,5 Euros per person and the reception tried to make us leave our credit card to their holding. I understand that they need the card details in case of minibar purchases, but why on earth would I leave my card there?
Once we filled Hotel.com's "How was you're check-in experience" -survey, we found a cleaning lady in our room without asking our permission. It was very unpleasant as we had already unpacked our stuff including everything from jewellery and laptops to sexy underwear. But we did get the shampoos etc.
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. We booked a three star hotel for the next night and it was a lot more comfortable. And with half the price.
