Well, i hadn't stayed in a hotel for a long time, so it was a bit of a culture shock at first. I only booked it for the Olympic pool tbh. The resort is absolutely huge and although it was busy, it didnt feel crowded in any way. I paid a bit extra to have a sea view room. These rooms are renovated to a very nice standard, they are part sea view & part pool view, very spacious including a large balcony with sun pretty much all day. On Expedia, i couldnt see an option for the 'Royal Level', it wasnt clear, but this was the next best thing. The food was good, plenty of choice and every night, something was being cooked fresh - chicken, pizza, burger etc and in the morning eggs are cooked fresh for breakfast. I did expect everyone to be pretty sporty, but activities and the gym were not used by many. For me, it meant a choice of lanes in the pool at any time of day which was wonderful. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful except the pool towel guy at the Marella pool who acted as though he had knitted the towels himself by hand & definitely thought you didnt deserve one! As someone who enjoys the beach, its worth knowing that although this hotel is right on the coast, there is no beach, it is all rocks and unaccessible. There are no shops or restaurants or town near the hotel and the view is of industrial area - i found this different from anywhere I'd stayed before. All in all, I would return for the amazing swimming, but it is isolated if the weather had been not great
