Great stay in recently opened hotel
Having been to Athens a couple of times before, this time was really special because of this hotel. We are talking about recently opened hotel/accomodation with totally renovated rooms in which all the interiors were brand new, including the bathrooms. There are only 5-7 or so rooms in 5 floors. The top floors rooms have a breathtaking view of the Acropolis hill, and they include 2 rooms in one apartment. We stayed 1 night at the second floor and 3 in the 4th floor. Both were fantastic. The rooms in upper floors have also a balcony, we had a huge one. The staff were Greece at its best: always smiling and willing to help. In short, this was the best accomodation we've ever stayed in. Room and area was quiet during the nights (hotel is by a small pedestrian shopping street). The location is also great for tourists, with everything within short distance. Remember that there is no reception as such, you check in in the jewerly shop on the floor level. The fare is not among the lowest in Athens, but worth every penny because of location, and I would expect to pay double price especially for the rooms with the Acropolis view.
