Greynolds Park offers a relaxing recreation destination set against a backdrop of 249 acres of green space. Located in North Miami Beach, inland from Sunny Isles, the urban oasis attracts locals and travellers drawn to outdoor activities, such as nature walks, biking, or bird-watching.

Opened in 1936, the park boasts an interesting past. The former rock quarry site features limestone rock structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corp., the entity that developed many of the national parks during the Great Depression era. The Miami-Dade County Historic Preservation Board designated the park as a historic site in 1983.

Greynolds Park highlights

Greynolds Park features the Greynolds Golf Course, a public nine-hole, par-36 course with 3,100 yards of rolling greens designed by Mark Mahannah in 1963. The site has a clubhouse, pro shop, club rentals, and electric golf carts.

Families visiting the park will find two playgrounds, picnic shelters, and a boathouse. Nearby is Camp Greynolds, an overnight camping facility with cabins and a bathhouse. Music lovers will enjoy the Love-in Festival, inspired by the sixties love-ins during which the Grateful Dead and others performed at the park. On the first Sunday of every month is the free Bluegrass Music Festival.
