This is the first five star hotel I've visited that should, this clearly, have a four star status. The staff was helpful but the reception was understaffed and I didn't feel as welcome as I would have wanted to. I constantly had to wait to have service at the reception. Hotels.com or the hotels booking system had mixed up our reservation and although I had called earlier to the hotel to confirm our booking, they couldn't find it once we arrived. It was unclear whether or not it was the hotels or hotels.com's fault but nevertheless, I didn't hear one apology from the staff at the reception.
The room was clean and up to standards with a big and nice balcony. The third bed in our room was apparently a sofa made into a bed and was quite bad to sleep in. The breakfast was OK, but once again, something you would expect to find in a four star place. The view from the breakfast to the bay was spectacular!
The experience was lacking in detail and there were e.g. some trimmings missing from behind the reception, the staff rarely greeted the guests and we could walk past the reception at 2 am without even being noticed.
