Airport shuttle that is supposed to leave the hotel on the hour and half hour to pick up guests at the airport 3 miles away. We got off our plane at 1:30 and went to pick up area and waited until about quarter to 3, with no shuttle. Every other hotel in the area came and went, some twice. Myself and another couple repeatedly tried to call the hotel but received no answer. We finally gave up and called an Uber. When we arrived both shuttles were sitting out front. I asked the front desk person why the shuttles weren’t running and more so why the hotel didn’t answer the phone, and she basically called me a liar. I told her she still had several elderly couples waiting at the airport. She gave me my room and it was one of the worst I have ever had, guess that was my punishment for questioning the lack of service. Room 202 has a patio door that opens onto the unsecured roof, several people were walking around right outside my door, some smoking, and with the amount of debree and cigarette butts on the ground it was a common meeting spot. I did not really feel safe and with all the equipment on the roof, I assumed HVAC and piping of some kind, it was very loud.
Then after getting settled, the hotel complex lost power. Just the hotel, all buildings around us still had power. That was just before the NFL game, so probably about 5pm, I went to ask in the lobby about the expected ETA for restoration but the lobby was in darkness and no one was around.
