Everything about the hotel was pretty much on point, but when I checked in, the attendant was disinterested, dismissive and pretty much unfriendly. Sorry but not sorry that I had to ring the bell after standing at the counter for multiple minutes to check in. When the attendant did come to the counter, I told them I had a dog and that I had called ahead of time to make sure everything was in order, he shook his head like he was disgusted.
I visit Culpeper multiple times a year and always grab a hotel room for a few days, but after this experience, I will never use the Hampton Inn again. There are cheaper options with the same amenities.
No matter how great a hotel may or may not be, poor customer service and greetings go a long way in determining a customers experience.
