We stayed at Hetland Hall for one night on our way south, the hotel and grounds are lovely. We checked in and were informed that we'd been allocated a 2nd floor room and there is no lift in the hotel, I'm nearly 70 but there was no offer of a porter to take the case upstairs for us whilst checking in,
The room was lovely and the bar and restaurant were both excellent, great food and excellent waiting staff. The breakfast in the morning was first class and again the staff great. The only low light was check in, so if you have an issue with carrying a heavy suitcase up multiple flights of stairs ask for a ground floor room.
