I am writing out of sheer frustration with my communication with the hotel. I was supposed to fly to Siargao on Feb 12, but due to Typhoon Basyang, all flights to and from the Island got cancelled. On the same day, we called the hotel to raise our concerns and the person at the front-desk, David, has confirmed that they will refund our booking in full since none of this was our fault. We were even told that our rooms have already been booked by other travelers who were also stranded in the island. We were also promised an email confirmation but NEVER got any confirmation. Since that day, we have constantly called the hotel several times and HAVE NOT gotten through.
We resorted to emails and all we got were vague "Let me check with our manager.." or "Call Expedia". I resorted to calling Expedia and Expedia got back to me saying that the hotel DENIED our refund request. Despite our conversations and despite obvious safety concerns, BRAVO decided to keep my 4-night payment.
I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL AGAIN.
