We had booked this hotel because it was close to downtown and most of the local activities. However, almost as soon as we checked in, we felt that this hotel was not up to the standards of Marriott, have been staying in for years. There is a basic pool and I think one café. This hotel does not have a private beach. You have to cross a busy street to get to the public beach, which is right across the hotel. Also, the staff members were not as helpful from the very beginning, the check-in was very cold and unwelcoming. So much so that we decided to check out two days early and book at the Hyatt Bahamar Hotel, which was phenomenal, and exceeded our expectations in service, cleanliness, activities, and overall guest relations factor.
If you are someone who likes to be close to downtown and other local activities, maybe this is a place for you. However, if you are looking for fun activities with kids, free water anct and great food options Hyatt Bahamar is the place to be.
