Cannaregio area was a perfect location for a family stay, even in busy July. The area is quiter, but close to everything, and the Cannaregio side canal is very charming. We had booked Antico Portego as a family of four, but it turned out that Antico Portego apartments did not fit for a family. It turned out that Antico Portego is part of GIA Hotels with several properties, and we were quickly and professionally rebooked into their Palazzina Riello property, which I believe is a more upscale option. Either way, the apartment was newly renovated in an old Venetian building with one bedroom, sleeping coach in the main room and a kitchenette. The entire family loved it and the help from the staff was prompt, friendly, and professional. I cannot recommend it more!
