Just around the corner from 3 Border point, walking distance to all the restaurants. Mostly catering for local visitors, not commercial chain. Yes, the lodges could do with a bit of an upgrade, but that's the flavours you get with it. Excellent for families wanting space and independence.

My wife and I stayed one night at Pirayu and we were very happy with our decision to choose this relaxing and spacious hotel. The staff kindly welcomed us and even showed us to our room. The rooms are clean, modern and feel luxurious with a big window separating the room from the bathroom. We did not use any of the amenities other than the lobby area which has ample seating, and the breakfast was sufficient with eggs, yogurt, fruit and breads. The only drawback is the weak Wifi in the rooms.

Very nice complex, perfect for our stay
A very nice little complex, rooms were very clean and very big, including the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site is very good and also good value. WiFi worked in our room as well. It is slightly out of the town centre, but easily walkable. We walked to the bus station to get on the bus to the waterfalls with no problem.

Large bedroom in the jungle
First thing of note was that we were persuaded that a room in the new block would be better than the older cabin we had booked. This was done at no extra charge and the room was fantastic. Large airy room. Breakfast was very good and staff pleasant. Room was cleaned immaculately.

Under maintained. Underwhelming. Over priced.
Our cabin was poorly maintained. Things were in a very bad state of repair. Very ordinary. Room was not properly secure.

Would stay again
We were lucky to have wifi because our Bungalow was close to the main Center. The Wi-Fi is very unreliable though. Think it is a South America thing. Not much English at the front desk.

Better than expected
I was hoping for the best after reading mixed reviews. This is not a luxury resort but has everything you need and is a great value. After traveling for a few weeks and sharing a room with the kids it was great to have our own space. The breakfast didn't look great and we were glad we hadn't prepaid for it. It is about 1k from the center so it's a bit of a walk or a short cab ride.

Very old rooms.
The pictures on their site are nothing like it to what the room really look like. Everything was very old!! The pool looks like in the picture, but the bedroom, and bathdrooms are very old. The Wifi is not working at all! You can only access Wifi when you are in some areas in the pool or near the entrance! Very bad.

Overall it has great facilities such as swimming pool and big scenic compound. However when we first arrived, we had problems with the gas stove, and the opening of the front door. For each occasion, we had to walk from our place of stay to the reception, an uphill distance of over 200 metres. Daniela, the receptionist, is quite fluence in English, was very helpful, and got the problem solved within 5 minutes. The noisy and loud air-conditioning and the flushing control of the toilet cistern need fixing.

Iguazu = WOW!!!
We loved our short time in Iguazu. This is a huge bucket list item. To see the amazing falls. We wish we would have stayed longer. There is so much to do there. I wanted to tour the massive dam that is 30 minutes away and do a canopy tour (zip line). I also wanted to do a 3 mile hike into the jungle to swim under some water falls. Next time!! The hotel was great. Good air conditioning which you need because the heat is so bad in the jungle. There was a nice pool. Nice size. There was ping pong. There was tennis. You could walk to many places from this hotel. The hotel was quiet . We had a balcony. We had a kitchen unit so we could save money by cooking some meals. We actually just brought back left overs from big meals. Worked great. I was very happy. The only problem was leaving.

it was ok, pool and location were the highlights
Great location. Loved the pool and having our own individual cabins however the units were pretty 'tired'. Needing a bit of a refresh. Kitchenette was great to have. Breakfast was ok. Check out time is 10am and not flexible. I would stay here again because seeing the other options around it didn't seem like the bar was set high in PI, at a similar price range. Wasn't bad but with some work on the rooms it could be much better.

Don't ever think of booking to this hotel.
It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Bad service- Staff barely speak English and not very helpful. Room- Not well-cleaned and smells funny. NO INTERNET IN ANY ROOM, JUST ONLY AT THE LOBBY They put fake details in Expedia website. Somehow, the internet is really slow- took an hour to get connected. NO water provided and hotel also doesn't sell it. Also, no food or café- delivery is the only one choice.. In conclusion, DON'T COME TO THIS HOTEL.. BELIEVE THE REVIEWS, I WARN YOU!

Find another place to stay!!!!
1. There was no internet as was stated on the website 2. There was no FREE airport shuttle as was stated on the website 3. The front desk made every effort to encourage you to take their transport service to Iguazu Falls for Ar$350 (US$ 41.17), when in reality, a public bus made the same route, stopped right in front of the hotel and only 3 stops along the way and only charged Ar$50 (US$ 5.80). 4. The phone in the room did not work, and despite multiple attempts to get this phone changed, it was never done. 5. The door in the balcony did not lock, making it easily accesible to thieves. when I discussed this to the front desk and asked for a change of room, they said they were unable to and not worry as there were no thieves in Iguazu.

Dissapointing
Dirty bathrooms, tub, toilet and sink obsolete, old towels, old windows, breakfast very poor and poor attention. There were not enough glasses, cutlery, plates and food was scarce.
Verified Expedia guest review

4/10 Fair

I can not compare with other hotels in Iguazu, but it was very disappointing. They are supposed to provide free shuttle but no one came to pick us up even though we e-mailed them our arrival time at the airport. We showed them the Website saying "Free Shuttle" to them and finally they provided the transportation to the Airport. There was no Wi-Fi in the guest rooms, only in the front desk area. Most staff members did not speak English. Kitchen was not clean and did not feel like cooking there.

Basic hotel
Room neede a bit of a refurbishment ie torn curtains, awkward access to fridge, doors need adjustment.
Verified Expedia guest review

6/10 Good

Good place for a family
It is a "Cabana" (bungalow) type of place for families. There is a swimming pool for adults (deep) and children (shallow), small Jacuzzi, tennis courts, a bar, pools, a BBQ space, and a kids' playground. All the rooms are with a mini kitchen and parking space. The Wifi is available only around the reception area and you CANNOT get it in your rooms. Some of the receptionists speak English but most of them are able to speak and understand ONLY Spanish. However, they are all friendly. Over all, what they advertised are true, no lies, but not as great as you imagine. Rooms are small and the service is a minimum. Do not pay the full price. I would stay here again if: 1) There is a great discount. (The taxi to down town Puerto Iguazu is about $15 each way, or you can walk in 15 minutes.) 2) You are with children and have a car.
