Last Stay Ever at HR (giving up VIP membership)
Problems started the moment we checked in. Only 1 of the 2 rooms were ready. We were told I would be notified by phone call/text when the 2nd room was ready. No communication for 4 hours until finally after 6 p.m. I went down & asked about my room. They said "oh it's ready, sorry". Waited another 15 minutes for the person to return with my key. Nothing. Finally saw him & he asked if he could help me. I reminded him that he had just left me to get my room key. He apologized & got my key. Went to the room. Phone didn't work although it rang alot (when HR was calling to inevitably try and sell me timeshare, etc) but I could not answer phone or dial out. I mentioned it to the conceirge. And of course... nothing was fixed. So I could not order room service for the 4 days/3 nights I was there. Also, no housekeeping was done. Had to go down and ask (cannot call remember) and the conceirge said... yeah... you should call down at 9 a.m. if you want housekeeping. I reminded them I had no working phone. Response was (blink, blink... blinkety blink blink). I had emailed days before checking in to ask for reservations at restaurants that required reservation with no response. On arrival, I could not get a reservation until the last night. Food was meh. Beaches were crappy. Seaweed/trash everywhere. Nothing cleaned up. Beach waiters (Oscar & Carlos) were great & Alexsander was great to set up chairs/umbrellas. Last stay with HR. I am giving up my HR VIP membership.
