Based on signage in and around the property, the Hotel was supposedly in a "grand reopening". It did appear clean, and staff was okay, but not overly organized.
I purchased the onsite parking and was told that I could go in and out as needed.
Upon returning to the hotel from the event we attended, there were no parking spaces available.
I explained to the front desk clerk that I had already paid for parking, she told me that unfortunately (for me anyway) that there was nothing she could do.
I was very disappointed in the reply a asked where was I going to park?
She then began to cry, who was a shock to me (this is NYC after all). I felt awful, but I wasn't yelling or causing a scene of any sort.
That was the parking.
When we left the hotel for the evening, I set the room AC to 70 degrees.
The outside temperature was in the 90s and humid.
When we returned, the room was 77 degrees.
It was 78 when we woke up.
Upon checking out, the clerk had little to say, but "sorry, we've been having some issues with the air conditioning, especially on the upper floors".
We were on floor 12.
If not for these two issues, I would've given a 4.5 rating.
There was no adjustment or discount offered.
