Hotel was excellent, service could not have been more attentive, lovely staff etc. Rooms great, we had number 9 (superior) and had bit of a seaview and was very conveniently located near dive center. Food bit too "western" for my liking, was maybe not much local food in menu I think, but obviously that is the way most of the guests like it also. Pool /beach staff very attentive also, as was everyone there really. Timing to go there in November was great even though it is "rain season", diving was good (they say Nov is the best dive mth there) and hotel maybe only 1/4 full so we got upgrade plus was no problem getting good table etc. As the hotel is on the north tip of the island, they get almost no rain, clouds seemed to move further inlands of the island - so good location even on rainy season! We didn't see a drop whole week, but had been raining in Stone town etc areas (lots?). All in all, highly recommended! Maybe on minus side, there is really nothing nearby, Nungwi village 15min walk but not safe to walk to there so had to take "taxi" , that would wait for us while we had dinner & drinks etc and take us back. Not a problem really, just good to know in advance.
