Comparable to a Motel 6
Glenwood Springs Inn is conveniently located within walking/biking distance of the hot springs pool, restaurants, and downtown Glenwood. Shampoo, body wash, and liquid hand soap are provided in eco-friendly dispensers, meaning there are no tiny little plastic bottles creating trash! The curtains were attractive and effective at darkening the room. We had no issues at all heating the room quickly, which is essential in chilly Glenwood! The beds were moderately comfortable--only a little lumpy--and the sheets very clean. On the whole, the room was in good repair. We had a microwave, mini frig, bar sink, and cupboard space. The property was quiet, and even though it was full of new year's eve guests, we hardly heard any noise from our neighbors. Parking was a problem: we had to squeeze into a tiny spot, and that left only inches for the car next to us to exit. In an emergency, I could see where that could be dangerous. Our room had very few amenities: no coffee or tea. No access to ice. No extra blankets. No table to enjoy food. No dishes, utensils or even paper towels. The bath towels were thin, old and frayed--we opted not to shower because of the poor quality. We found half a loaf of stale French bread in the cupboard, presumably left by a previous guest. That was kind of gross. Although the young ladies at the front desk were friendly, this hotel had the overall feel of pay-up-and-get-out, as if the owner doesn't really have the heart for the hospitality business.
