Nice hotel, rude & unprofessional service at times
Mixed feelings. Nice hotel with several restaurants, pool and gym, for a good price. However, lacking in some aspects. Had agreed on an airport transfer when arriving in the middle of the night, but nobody was there, had to arrange for them be called and waited for almost an hour! Didn't get more than a quick apology and lame excuses.
Some staff members are very friendly and attentive, but others have some serious problems with attitude and work motivation. Like when going for a swim and asking if it is possible to borrow a swim cap (which I have borrowed from there before as well), the receptionist just stares rudely, like I'm disturbing her day, and remarks that "you only have half an hour until the pool closes and we don't have any swimming caps" (which they did). How about: "Welcome madam, you still have half an hour left to swim, just give me a moment to check if we have any swimming caps".
Almost every morning at breakfast I asked for something that was never delivered to me in the end. Sometimes it took about half an hour to get a bottle of water or an omelet, despite there being as many staff members as guests in the dining room. Sometimes when asking for something, when I went to ask again, they then said the item is not available, but nobody bothered to come and tell me about it. I feel like there should be a supeviser present there, as most staff are just standing around, while guests arrive and there are no clean tables, the coffee is finished, etc.
