I have to admit that it was a disappointment to see three stars displayed beside the hotel door, as this place was categorized as four stars in the internet, but this difference seems to be common around mediterranean countries.
Which does it really feel then, 3 or 4? The quality of service in the lobby as well as the cleanliness represents four stars. The helpfullness and attitude of staff was simply great in numerous occasions when I needed some special help. Also, what was important, the Wifi worked without any problems.
The lobby is small, and the breakfeast is nothing special. The armchairs in the lobby are in disgraceful condition (they are so worn-down in the corners that the fillings are visible). Rarely, if ever one sees a hotel where replacing just eight single pieces of furniture one could establish major rise.
The hotel is a bit distance from the La Rambla, and the surroundings are not among the finest, but yet did not seem to be threatening.
