Bummed Texan
Highly disappointed with our stay at The Lodge. First of all, had I known there is no elevator there, I would not have booked it. Carrying our bags to the third floor and the high altitude was bad, especially since we’re in our mid 70s. The room looked nothing like what’s posted on the website, which I think is deceptive advertising. The fabric used on the walls was wrinkled and shabby and the carpet had a big stain. A small window placed high provided a look of the mountains. It would’ve been nice to sit around the lobby fireplace and read a book but the thought of having to climb 3 sets of stairs was not worth it. So, we cancelled the second night stay.
My question is what option does a guest have to avoid paying for a second night when the room is so disappointing?
