Cheap for a good reason
We had an okay stay but things could have been so much better. The main issue we had was with communication: the hotel sends too many emails and does not time them well. They send you an email plus four or five (!) reminders to check in online (the link did not work for us), one with the directions, one with check in instructions, one with check out instructions... Too much information is as bad as not enough. They omitted to mention the most important part: their reception closes at 4 PM - even though check in starts at 3 PM! They sent us an email to that effect while we were already on the road, and asked our arrival time even though we had provided that information to them the previous day in a separate email response. Very poor follow up. Anyway, upon arrival we were able to find our keys and our room after much aggravation, plus there was another guest in the parking lot who was lost and needed help when we returned from dinner around 9 PM. We told her where to get her keys and showed her where her room was. I know you can communicate with the hotel 24/7 via WhatsApp, but it gets tedious and this is not the kind of hospitality we are used to. Our room was tiny but clean, there were six cushions on the bed but only two (small) pillows for the two of us. We're used to sleeping with two pillows each and for this reason did not have a good night's sleep. Breakfast was amazing but we were here mostly to sleep and found the whole experience quite underwhelming.
