What a fiasco! First of all, when we arrived, there was a cleanliness issue in the first room. The toilet had a very strong smell of dried urine. I complained a few times, but they never sent anyone to clean it. It was visibly dirty on the pedestal.
Then they lost electricity in the whole building, so the air-conditioning and elevators were out. After not being able to sleep because I was sweltering in the room I woke up in the morning to the sound of hammering, electric, saws, and construction.
They ended up moving us to a different room and we had to drag our heavy suitcases down flights of stairs to the new room. The bathroom floor was filthy so we asked them to clean it while we went for a meal. When we returned back to the hotel room, our suitcases were laying on top of our beds because apparently the room had flooded while we were gone, and many of my items were soaked, including my makeup bag that had a lot of expensive make up. They eventually ended up letting us cancel the reservation and rebook somewhere else. But despite the fact that they allowed us to cancel, I would not stay there again due to the fact that I believe the building has a lot of water damage. It has a mildew smell in the lobby when you walk in.
