I got one of the basic rooms and my experience was very different from what is portrayed in the official hotel pictures. The hotel sits on a busy street in the middle of Sedona, next to a strip mall. The door of my room opened onto a depressing motel-style courtyard, and my window showed a view of the next building. The hotel restaurant overlooks the parking lot.
To be fair, the majestic views shown in the official pictures do exist, IF you get a room in the back of the hotel and restrict your gaze to 30 degrees of the horizon. But the hotel is not a remote nature hideaway, no matter what room you get. Also, be aware that the hotel allows no cancellations once you book, so be sure where your room is located in the complex before you book.
The spa service was just okay, not great.
