Two bedroom suite, 3 nights, non-refundable rate. Both beds had black dog hair (we also had our dog, so we were sort of ok with). The linens and towels had stains. They were cleaned but obviously very old and would not be used if a branded hotel with standards. Floors had been swept but were definitely not mopped or cleaned. Hairs all over the bathroom and in the shower. Our friends who traveled w us had a larger issue in their room (legacy moved them) and the hotel across the street was sold out, so we sucked it up and made most of the trip.
Morning shuttle service to the mountain was fine. Good luck getting back in the afternoon. We waited 45 minutes day 1 and ended up having a friend pick us up instead. We waited 30+ minutes day 2. Lines at steamboat were long, but we could count 3-5 shuttles for the other hotels compared to 1 for legacy. There is either 1 shuttle or they are bundled up and arrive at same time.
Finally, there is a resort fee that I don’t recall seeing when we booked (maybe it was). I asked the front desk what was included and she said “the amenities”. I think the fee is for the fruit and granola bars in the lobby each morning and the shuttle, but I question the value. There are a ton of junk fees being charged by hotels these days, this one feels like they are charging because their competitors do… but they don’t add any value.
We left a night early and forfeited the third non refundable night… hotel did offer to move us, but we had already packed.
