Quick getaway
Very quiet property, and the town of Brigintine is so quiet and quaint filled with small shops and restaurants that are very very good. We ate at Gianni’s for breakfast and Andre’s Italian for dinner. One day we decided not to go into Atlantic City and just relax and came upon those restaurants and of course you can still walk to the beach. Can’t wait to go back!

La Sammana - Brigantine
Second off season visit to La Sammana. It is a clean and comfortable location in Brigantine. The rooms are like small efficiency rooms with a small two burner range, sink, and a counter for sitting and eating. Not a great setup for preparing meals, but good to reheat something or for in room breakfast prep. Room was clean and comfortable, and everything in the room worked. The location is close to the beach and there are a few spots for dining within walking distance. There is a small rooftop pool with a small sitting area. It has a great view. Parking is free, under the building, be careful, the spaces are small and close togther with lots of support pillars! Definitely our go to location when we visit this area of NJ. It is also a few minute drive to all the Atlantic City has to offer.

Overall a okay hotel relatively close to the beach. The rooms are dated, but spacious, and have kitchenettes. We got the king suite (sleeps 4 people). The main bed was comfortable, the second bed was a convertible couch and was pretty rough on my back - I would not recommend for anything more than 1 night stay. The reason why our trip left a very bad aftertaste is the fact they they make guests clean all the dishes prior to checkout. We stayed at endless hotels with kitchens (similar setup), and never ever had to wash the dishes as a requirement. This delayed our checkout, as I had to go back and do the dishes. I also had 3 of my kids waiting, one of them a newborn. Anyways, as I was washing the stupid dishes, the hotel staff kept on knocking on our door and rushing me. They also kept calling the phone, not allowing my newborn to sleep. I felt like I was working for them, not the other way around. The goal of this stay was to relax, instead we left all stressed out. A very humiliating experience, to put this mildly. Initially, I tried leaving this feedback with the lady at the lobby, but she started arguing with me, so I am leaving the feedback here. I will never go back to this place. Yikes.

Lasamana is a great place to stay but the rooms need a face lift. Been staying here over 13 years and the decor/carpet/ curtains have not been updated ever. It has so much potential that is untapped. It is just a shame. I do enjoy most of the staff especially the doorman who has been there forever. I missed Mona this year. The vibe seemed a little less friendly than in the past. Hope that changes

Staff were super friendly, property and hotel was clean and well kept, hotel is very close to beach so the walk is short, they offer beach tags, beach chairs and towels so less to pack for vacation, checkout is 11am which is later than most hotels and house rentals and even the people staying at the hotel were very nice and friendly. I will definitely stay there again and again.

The decor needs a major overhaul, it’s very outdated and dingy. The dark colors in the room make it look/feel dirty and the hallway carpet is just an awful color/design. The mixing of old with modern is not working in this hotel…plus, we believe there’s mold throughout. My husband was sneezing throughout the night and work up horse both mornings, yet he was fine during the day.

The property was two blocks from the beach and conveniently close to dining and activities. It was quiet except for the three fire alarms that went off that week from someone cooking bacon or smoking. The fire dept was across the street. You can get beach tags from the front desk and get your $ back when you return the tags. The elevators were fast. There were washers and dryers on premises on the third floor. The fitness room was newly installed. There was also a recreation room for board games, puzzles and movies. The staff were friendly and helpful in moving out.
