When we pulled into the parking lot, we could not safely park in either handicap space due to the large potholes at the front of them. We did have a relatively quick check-in process, and the elevator worked well… The ADA room was large and would have been very power wheelchair navigable—except that there was a very large (and dirty) armchair and ottoman next to the bed, taking up most of the space needed for transfer. The bed was clean, but too soft and bounced a lot, making transfers even more unsteady. The toilet clogged with the first use (only bodily waste, not even toilet paper in it), and we were handed a plunger to deal with it ourselves—which we were unsuccessful at doing, so by morning when it backed up even more, the whole room smelled like sewage. Also, when we wanted to use the chair lift for the hot tub, we discovered that it was missing a buckle to secure the lap belt, and it had neither armrests nor a chest strap to help stabilize an individual’s trunk during use. So, we could not use it. For the able-bodied guest who did use the hot tub, the water was found to be just barely hotter than lukewarm. We left early in the morning after a fitful night of sleep, and we decided to skip breakfast due to the poor quality experienced in the other areas of the stay, as we could not risk getting sick before we could finish traveling. No one was at the front desk for our check-out. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel to anyone with accessibility concerns.
