I felt like the value was just not there.
This was a … unique experience. First, the ladies I encountered at the desk were pleasant enough. Not much they could do about my complaints so I mostly kept them to myself until I checked out.
I’m a woman traveling solo. My dad was having major surgery and I just needed a comfortable, quiet place to sleep for one night. That was definitely not my experience here.
Upon arrival I was shocked at the smell. The bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke! The water was barely luke warm (highly disappointing. All I wanted was a hot shower). The bed was like laying on a piece of cardboard. The walls were insanely thin. The people across the hall were coming and going all night. Calling the front desk did no good. And don’t even get me started on the fridge inside the room! It made a huge clunking noise every 30 minutes. Also, there was not a single trash can in the room. I’m sorry but, what? There was a small kitchen, but zero things to cook with. No utensils. Nothing. Why offer a kitchen and no way to utilize it?!
When I checked out I was nice to the girl at the desk, but did tell her it was not great and I would not be back. She apologized and said they are under renovations. That’s fine? Maybe let your prices reflect that. $150 for one night at a hotel I couldn’t even get any sleep at is insane.
Save yourself the discomfort and go elsewhere.
