Unacceptable Service and Major Check-in Issues
We had deep dissatisfaction with the service we received during our recent stay. From the outset, the experience was far below what one would expect from a four-star hotel.
Upon arrival, we encountered major issues with the check-in process. Despite being assured that our room would be ready at 3 PM as per our booking, we were told at the reception—where staff were clearly overstretched—to wait 15 minutes. Despite informing the team that I had an important graduation ceremony in a couple of hours and urgently needed the room to prepare and take a shower, we were left waiting in the lobby for over an hour without any further updates. This caused us to miss a dinner reservation and left us no time to freshen up before the once-in-a-lifetime event.
What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of communication. Although the receptionists promised to notify us via message when the room was ready, no such message or call was received. I had to personally contact the hotel at 9:51 PM to inquire about the room status. While we were eventually given a nicer room, it was clear this was simply the only one available and not a gesture of compensation.
The poor service did not end there. The following morning, we were required to change rooms, and to our dismay, housekeeping entered our room at 11 AM without knocking.
How do you plan to compensate me for this experience and to ensure I would consider booking at your site again in the future?
